Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Add tomatoes, garlic and olive oil to a baking dish. Toss to coat tomatoes evenly with oil.

Bake for 35 minutes until tomatoes are soft and slightly charred. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before proceeding.

Transfer roasted tomatoes with cooking oil to a blender. Add heated broth, basil, salt, pepper and cream. Blend on low speed until smooth, approximately 30-60 seconds.
