Rinse strawberries under cold water, then gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Slice them into thin rounds approximately ¼ inch thick.

Drain fresh mozzarella and pat dry to remove excess moisture. Slice into rounds similar in thickness to the strawberries.

On a serving platter, alternate layers of sliced strawberries and mozzarella in a circular pattern or rows. Tear fresh basil leaves and scatter them throughout.

Drizzle balsamic reduction over the arranged salad. If using, add a light drizzle of olive oil, a pinch of sea salt, and freshly cracked black pepper. Serve immediately for best flavor and presentation.
